Relaxing

I am so glad summer is here and we are just kicking back have a good time. Yeah right. I have been teaching at VBS from 1 to 4 then to the first soccer practice at 4:30 then the next practice at 5:30. Get home by 7 to get something on the table to eat and then start getting ready for the next day. Today is our last day of VBS and no practice tonight. Anthony has a couple of philly fund raisers for next couple of days. This week should be busy but not as bad as last week. Did I mention that we are getting ready to head to CA in a couple of weeks. It will be just me and the kids and we are looking forward to it. Steve is saving vacation time for a trip to Disney Land later this year. I don't know why I am sitting here typing I need to go for a walk and get my day started.

New County Champs

Yes, they won today. The final score was 11-9 and they won the tournament. It was a great way for the boys to finish out the season.

Baseball scores

For anyone keeping track - They won last night 6 - 0. This was a team they where unable to beat. We are off to another game at 11:00 am and depending on how they do, we could be there all day. It was a good fun game last night, the boys where on fire.

What a Week

We are getting ready for yet another baseball game. Just when I think its over, I am wrong. We have had some great news this week. Steve is officially an engineer. He will start running tonight. Yeahhhhhh!!!
I was talking with our VBS coordinator, she also coordinates all the youth activities at the church. She offered me the job of Youth minister. I would love to jump at the job and feel honored that she asked me, but there is no way I can make that kind of commitment. Not with mine and Steves schedules the way that they are. However, I will be helping out with the youth group and the high schools lunch discussions this up coming school year. I am so excited about working at the church, they are a fun bunch up there.
Have a great evening.

The Calm

HA! I just love the saying "Lazy Days of Summer". Who ever said that doesn't have kids. Anthony has a baseball tournament Thursday and Friday. We don't know how many games will be played it just depends on how well his team does. He tries out for All Stars on Monday, Soccer starts on Monday and did I mention VBS starts on Monday. I am not sure what I will be doing to help out with VBS, but the coordinator just giggled when I said that I would help out. I think I am in trouble.

Busy Busy

Holy Cow!!! What a busy week it has been. We took Lady Grandma and Grandpa all over the area. They got to enjoy 3 of Anthonys baseball games. We made a quick trip to Pendleton and an all day trip to Joseph and Wallowa Lake. It was a lot of fun walking around town and doing some shopping. I stopped into a quilt shop and bought some cool fabric and a pattern for a fun quilt to make for a friend. Then off to ride the tram. It is the steepest tram in North America. After a really big lunch Grandma and I decided to take Meg and J to the bumper boats while the boys went up on the tram. The pictures they took where incredible. We are planning a trip there later this summer so I guess I will bite the bullet and make the trip up there with them. We have also spent time playing Mexican Train and going to the movies. Needless to say, everyone in this house is tired today.

Busy Week

It is really been a busy week. Lady Grandma and Grandpa are here visiting. We have been to the movies, mushroom picking, baseball games and we have even been playing Mexican Train.

Anthony's baseball season officially wraps it up tonight. Then we have a tournament next week. I am always sad to see the season end but it just means that soccer starts in a couple of weeks.

Couple of Days Left

Only a couple of days of school left. We are very happy about that in this house. Looking forward to doing some camping, traveling back to Sacramento, soccer and having some out of town summer visitor's. Of course today it doesn't look much like summer. Typical eastern Oregon weather. Two days ago it was 95 degrees and today it is rainy and in the 50's.
